I agree that, right now, there are more men acting as honest agents than women in the SMP. As I replied to Spawny Get above, however, I don’t believe that is due to women having an innate propensity for dishonesty though. Rather, I think it is because they are currently given a great deal of power over men and brainwashed to not consider men’s needs. Men, in contrast, are disempowered and shamed to attend to women’s needs. If we switched these social pressures…men would act more selfish and women would be more honest. If we all grew up like animals and were left to our own devices, we’d all be selfish and solipsistic. As for “returns”, it depends on what you’re returning. If you’re giving her something big, then yes let her contribute a few smaller things first. Also, tit-for-tat may get a little more stretched out with time and investment. Beyond that, you can certainly apply intermittent reinforcement, getting her to give more over time. Sometimes that is helpful to prompt her larger investments.
